Niamh Russell

Niamh Russell is assistant coach of the Liverpool FC Women U21s side. She had a spell as interim assistant coach with the first team in 2024-25 under Amber Whiteley.

The Glasgow native joined the Reds in 2023, moving south to help oversee the development of the next generation of young players at the AXA Melwood Training Centre.

Russell stepped up from her former role as assistant coach with LFC Women’s Pro-Game Academy and will continue to have some responsibilities with the club’s U21s.

She has previous experience working within the girls’ academy at Rangers as U16s head coach and U19s assistant coach, alongside time with the Scottish FA in the national youth set-up.
