Watch Cody Gakpo and Kostas Tsimikas surprise young people at one of LFC Foundation's summer player development football camps.

LFC Foundation hosted hundreds of children at their player development camps this summer. Running throughout the school holidays, the inclusive camps provided a safe and engaging environment, where boys and girls – aged four to 14 – could learn new skills and make friends, while staying healthy and active.

The camps offered many children a place to build confidence, develop teamwork and learn football 'the Liverpool way', with sessions tailored for all abilities to allow the youngsters to progress at their own pace.

The lucky young footballers from the football camp at Halewood Leisure Centre were surprised with a visit from Liverpool players Gakpo and Tsimikas, who got involved in some of the drills to improve the youngsters' technique, strength and conditioning.

Gakpo said: "I'm very proud to support the work of the LFC Foundation. It's great to be here, to see the young people having fun and playing together at such a young age. To see the work that the foundation is doing is amazing, they're so important in supporting our communities."

As part of the foundation's new mission to tackle social inequalities in our communities, their focus is on championing learning, education and employability opportunities for all.
