Liverpool U21s recorded a 4-1 friendly victory over Bolton Wanderers at the Kirkby Academy on Saturday lunchtime.

Kaide Gordon opened the scoring thanks to good play from Erik Farkas and Jayden Danns, which allowed the forward to finish from a tight angle into the top corner.

Danns then turned from provider to goalscorer as he combined again with Gordon to double the advantage, meeting a low cross from his teammate to convert inside the area.

Gordon netted his second of the afternoon and the Reds' third at a quick breakaway.

In the second period, substitute Kareem Ahmed rounded off the scoring for the home team, while the visitors pulled a goal back.

Liverpool U21s: Mrozek (Misciur, 46), Pitt, Pinnington, Lucky (Williams, 46), Miles (Davidson, 70), Trueman, Gordon (Pilling, 70), Pilling (Laffey, 46), Danns (Wright, 30), Farkas (Ahmed, 46), Abe (Figueroa, 46).
