Rio Ngumoha will join the England squad for their pre-World Cup training camp in Florida.

The Three Lions’ 26-man group for this summer’s tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico was announced on Friday morning.

Head coach Thomas Tuchel then held a press conference, during which he revealed that Liverpool forward Ngumoha has been selected as one of four additional players who will participate in their preparation camp in Palm Beach.

Tuchel said: “We will take some young players out who will train with us and keep the squad in the size that we need, so that we have all the possibilities also for the two friendly matches to take care about the minutes and the load of the players.

“So, this will be: Alex Scott is confirmed, Rio Ngumoha is confirmed and Josh King, and there will be one more player that we cannot name because it’s not confirmed yet. But I am happy that these guys are with us.”

England’s camp will run from June 1-13, with Tuchel’s team to play friendlies against New Zealand (June 6) and Costa Rica (June 10) during that time.

Their opening group-stage game at the World Cup is versus Croatia on June 17.
