Lucy Parry has spoken of her determination to help Liverpool FC Women produce a strong run in the Adobe Women's FA Cup this season.

After beating West Ham United 5-0 in the fourth round last midweek, the Reds will now face Rugby Borough in the next stage on Sunday.

Parry scored her first goal for the club in that win over the Hammers - which Matt Beard's side followed up with a 1-0 victory over the same opponents in the Barclays Women's Super League at the weekend - and is enjoying her football again after returning from injury.

Ahead of the 12.30pm GMT kick-off with Rugby Borough at Nationwide Windows Arena, Liverpoolfc.com caught up with the No.2 to preview the tie…

On the confidence in the camp after back-to-back wins…

Definitely. I think you've seen from our last few performances how much confidence it has given us. The Leicester game was disappointing for us but as you can see from our last two performances, we are pushing and we are looking forward to the weekend.

On the team showing different ways to win against the Hammers…

We controlled both games from the start. In the FA Cup we went 2-0 ahead then controlled the second half again and it was a good win and good to get to the next round. We knew the league game was going to be tough against them. We needed the three points and we took what we did on Wednesday into this game and controlled it.

On the challenge of facing Rugby Borough in the FA Cup…

We are expecting a tough game. It's knockout football and we are looking to go there and get through to the next round.

On wanting to do well in the competition…

We want to go all the way to the final. We always take it game by game and we will continue to do so and we just want to put a good performance in. There is a lot to play for between now and the end of the season. There is a lot of games left to play and we are looking to build week on week. Training is competitive and everyone is looking to get into the team and I think that's really good we've got the competition.

On how she is feeling after returning from injury…

It's really good to be back. It's been a tough few months but just being back on the grass with the team is a great feeling and I just want to play my part and do all I can to help the team.
