Liverpool FC would like to thank its official Supporters Board for its continued support, constructive engagement and valuable contribution to the club's ongoing ticketing review to date.

The Board's input has played an important role throughout in helping to inform our future approach, which helped lead to the findings shared in June through our comprehensive ticketing review and the changes introduced ahead of the 2026-27 season.

These changes were aimed at improving access to tickets, enhancing the overall ticketing journey for supporters and strengthening protection from abuse, all in line with our ticketing principles.

The club will now continue working closely with the Supporters Board to discuss the outstanding areas that were identified through our recent ticketing review process. This forms part of our ongoing commitment to improving ticketing at LFC, with the club continuing to work closely with the Supporters Board and fans to help shape the future of ticketing.

This work included the launch of a survey last season to more than 500,000 supporters to ensure they have a genuine say in shaping the future of ticketing policy at the club.

If further supporter insight is needed during this latest consultation period, the club expects to use Your Voice, our online supporter research portal. Fans wishing to share their views on ticketing, or any other aspect of the supporter experience, can do so by joining the Your Voice research community here and opting to take part in future opportunities.

As part of this work, the Supporters Board will also be seeking input from supporters, with further details expected to be shared in due course.

Two of the most significant areas to be discussed include future credit rules for cup games and the potential to automatically assign 13+ member tickets according to their preferences, as opposed to supporters queuing and purchasing online.

Any changes to cup credit rules will need to consider the potential impact on our cup final policy and would hopefully enable the Ticket Exchange to be made available for cup home games.

While much of the focus to date has centred on home tickets, away ticketing will also be considered as part of the next phase of the review. We recognise that away ticketing is different to home, with a more limited number of tickets available, and that any future approach must be appropriate to those circumstances rather than simply mirroring the approach for home tickets.

This structured engagement will continue through to December 2026, with the aim of finalising recommendations for the 2027-28 season once this stage of engagement is completed.

This is all part of the review that has identified three priority areas that will continue to provide a framework as we complete the final phase of engagement:

  • improving access to tickets
  • enhancing supporter journeys
  • strengthening fan protection from abuse

The ongoing engagement will continue to be informed by the findings to date, insights gathered through supporter surveys and fan focus groups, feedback from the Supporters Board and data from the past five seasons on how tickets are used.

If any further changes are introduced following this period of engagement, supporters will be given sufficient notice to minimise the impact on those who have more recently earned eligibility or match credits.

As with the Premier League credit changes, any future change in approach would only affect future credit earning and would not be applied historically.
