NewsLFC Foundation relaunches Red Neighbours Community Fund
LFC Foundation has renamed its Community Initiative Fund, which will now be known as the Red Neighbours Community Fund.
Created by LFC Foundation and supported by Liverpool FC, the fund was first launched in 2020 to support and assist local groups or organisations who have great ideas to create a lasting project or initiative in the areas surrounding Anfield.
It followed a commitment from the club to make a donation to a community grant fund each time a concert or major non-football-related event is held at Anfield, with the funds going towards reinvestment into the local area.
The initial grants were issued during the last 18 months and, from a new cinema for the next generation of young families to supporting the development of a local bowling club, the fund has already helped to provide opportunities for local people of all ages.
Matt Parish, CEO of LFC Foundation, said: “It’s been fantastic to see the impact the last round of grants had on the local area and we are looking forward to being able to give even more back with the latest fund.
“Our Red Neighbours team does fantastic work all year round in the local community and so it’s only fitting that this fund is renamed as part of our ongoing commitment to the local area.”
The next round of grants are now available and LFC Foundation would like to once again invite local groups or organisations working in the L4, L5 and L6 postcode areas to bid for funding that will help to deliver new projects that will help to create lasting impact on our communities.
