Rio Ngumoha and Keyrol Figueroa made their senior international debuts on Saturday.

Ngumoha became England’s 1,300th capped player as he was introduced for the second half of a 1-0 friendly win against New Zealand.

At the age of 17 years and 281 days, Ngumoha was the fifth-youngest player in history to appear for the Three Lions.

And the Liverpool forward’s display earned him the Player of the Match award, too.

Figueroa was also sent on from the bench after half-time for Honduras as they lost 2-0 to Argentina, for whom Alexis Mac Allister took to the pitch on 63 minutes.

Elsewhere, Alisson Becker completed the opening 45 minutes of Brazil’s 2-1 victory against Egypt in a World Cup warm-up.

There was a Liverpool FC reunion for Alisson and teammate Fabinho with Mohamed Salah in opposition.

Florian Wirtz was involved for 80 minutes for Germany as they saw off the USA 2-1, and Lewis Koumas featured for the final half-hour of Wales’ 2-1 defeat versus Romania.
