Five Liverpool FC Women players saw match action for their respective countries throughout Friday.

Four of those were in UEFA Women’s Nations League action with Jenna Clark’s Scotland hosting Marie Höbinger and Austria at Hampden Park, where the visitors ran out 1-0 winners.

Both Reds started, with Clark being substituted at half-time and Höbinger being withdrawn in stoppage time.

Earlier, Gemma Evans and Ceri Holland each completed the full 90 minutes as Wales lost 1-0 away to Denmark.

Overnight, meanwhile, Fuka Nagano featured for Japan in a 3-1 defeat to Brazil in a friendly contest, with the midfielder seeing a penalty saved in the second half.
