News'He could see into the future' - Jan Molby picks his Liverpool's Greatest top 10
Former midfield star Jan Molby has selected his top 10 for our Liverpool's Greatest poll.
Launched last week, Liverpool's Greatest will bring together the votes of fans, ex-players, journalists and a club panel to decide the Reds' 100 best men's players of all time.
The ranking will be revealed via a countdown starting in June.
Molby, whose own Anfield career included 292 games, 61 goals, three league titles and two FA Cups, is part of the 250 contenders himself.
And the 'Great Dane' has shared with us his personal top 10 and the reasons why...
10. Luis Suarez
"The longevity and trophy haul might not stack up, but boy, could he play! The touch, the vision, the goals. Terrific footballer."
9. Ray Clemence
"Very unusual to have a goalkeeper in a list like this, but the importance of Ray back in the '70s and early '80s, a terrific goalkeeper. World-class."
8. Virgil van Dijk
"There can be no doubt about Virgil van Dijk's importance from when he joined Liverpool and how much of a superb defender he has been right the way through his career. So calm under pressure, so good on the ball."
7. Alan Hansen
"Another central defender, another Mr Cool. Read the game, quick, good on the ball, won plenty of trophies."
6. Mohamed Salah
"What can you say about Mo? From the moment he joined Liverpool he has been in terrific form, scoring goals, assists. And he has had a massive, massive impact on where the club is today."
5. Graeme Souness
"What a player. Midfield player who could take any game by the scruff of the neck, home or away. Competitive, physical, loved it all."
4. John Barnes
"When John came to Liverpool, I think he simply blew our minds. We had all seen him play for Watford and England but weren't quite aware of how fantastic he was."
3. Ian Rush
"I think when you score as many goals as Ian Rush, there's a tendency to just associate you with goals. But there was so much more to this man's game. The first line of defence, good on the ball and he had this unbelievable ability just to create that little bit of space for your pass to go through to him."

Watch on YouTube2. Steven Gerrard
"I think there is probably only two players in the history of Liverpool Football Club where you almost feel they carried the team on their own. That was Billy Liddell back in the '40s, '50s and early '60s, and Steven Gerrard. How many times has Steven Gerrard had to get the team out of trouble? And he is remembered for so many great moments. He had it all. Big, strong, great athlete, great shot, great vision. Fantastic footballer."
1. Kenny Dalglish
"The great man himself. Kenny was one of these players that you almost felt he could see into the future. He saw things before anyone else saw them. That was his real strength."
